Content Writing Team
A fall 2018 addition to the WDAC team, the office environment has been a natural fit for me. I thrive in environments that are laid-back, creative and focused on constant improvement-- that’s WDAC. As a former journalism major and a writer for several entertainment magazines, I’ve found content writing and SEO both exciting and stimulating. Every day there is something new for me to tackle, and opportunities for me to grow as a writer. My background in Public Relations from my time at Webster University allows for me to be forward-thinking when writing content for clients, and look ahead to the end result and adjust the content and SEO accordingly to produce the best results. I am passionate about writing and helping clients achieve their goals. I thoroughly enjoy the challenges and responsibility that come with being a content writer, and I honestly wouldn’t trade it for anything else.
In my free time I can be found geeking out over classic literature, music, cooking, and all things vintage. I’ve known that I’ve wanted to be a writer since I was in middle school. I wrote short stories growing up, and in high school I was on the staff of our school newspaper which further cemented my love for writing. I was the type of kid (and, let’s be honest, I am still this type of adult) who would bring a book with me everywhere I went, and pen and paper. In college, I was a journalism major for two years so this suited me pretty well. I thoroughly loved writing for the newspaper and magazines I was on the staff of, but knew that I wanted to learn more about Public Relations, so I switched majors. With my background in different types of communications, I have carved a niche for myself in digital media, SEO and content writing, and I am constantly learning to expand my skill set!
“Dee” to those I’m close to!
"And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt." - Sylvia Plath
